What is Oneg?
Oneg is a delightful light meal enjoyed after our Shabbat services, fostering community and connection among attendees. It offers a wonderful opportunity to get to know one another and share delicious food in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Join us as we celebrate together and strengthen the bonds of friendship during this special time. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to contribute something to the meal. See below for more our Oneg Guidelines.
Oneg Guidelines

🥗 Dietary Standards
-
All food contributions must be biblically-clean.
-
Please do not bring pork, shellfish, or any other biblically-unclean ingredients.
-
Thank you for helping us honor these standards as we enjoy fellowship together.
🍲 Food Preparation
-
Please prepare all food at home before arriving.
-
The kitchen is not available for food preparation.
-
All meats and other foods should be fully cooked, cut, and ready to serve.
-
The only exception is adding dressing to salads.
-
Bringing food ready to serve helps share the workload and maintain the family atmosphere we cherish.
🍽️ Serving & Cleanup
-
Please provide any serving utensils your dish requires.
-
If you bring a dish, please also take responsibility for cleanup.
-
Dishes should be taken home, washed in the kitchen, or disposed of properly.
-
At the start of Oneg, if your dish is not on the serving table, feel free to place it out for everyone to enjoy.
🔥 Warming & Storage
-
Heating pads, an oven, and two refrigerators are available.
-
Electrical outlets are available for crockpots and other warming appliances.
-
Please bring dishes in disposable containers whenever possible, or clearly label them with your name.
-
The oven is for keeping food warm only and may not be used for baking or cooking.
